Lumacron ships first Helios 4000 Wavelength Access ROADMs
We’re delighted to announce general availability of the Helios 4000 Wavelength Access ROADM, bolstering the capabilities of our Zeus Instrumentation Ecosystem. Supporting full-duplex DWDM access and monitoring, Helios 4000 offers 40 add/drop ports (20 EAST, 20 WEST) on 2 DWDM line-side connections with flexible grid WSS (6.25GHz channel spacing), integrated EDFA, and high-resolution Optical Channel Monitoring.
“Our customers don’t want to use massive ROADM mainframes to deliver carrier wavelengths for performance monitoring” said Alan McDade, CEO, Lumacron Technology. “Many of the OAM&P complexities associated with transport network deployment simply aren’t necessary in the context of network access and analytics – at Lumacron we can focus on what our customers really need, high density monitoring in 1RU, with an intuitive operator UI and an open REST API that works out of the box”.
Helios 4000 appliances are shipping now. Contact info@lumacron.com to schedule an evaluation.
